Privacy Policy
What we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Sonnets Consultancy LLP (“Sonnets”, “we”, “us”) operates www.sonnetsllp.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the website, its contact forms and its free tools. It does not cover information we process for clients under an engagement letter, which is governed by that engagement.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry form: name, company, email, phone number, country, service of interest and your message.
- Bookkeeping onboarding form: business name, type, country, industry, tax and VAT registration numbers, transaction volume, number of bank accounts, accounting software, approximate revenue, contact person, phone, email and any notes you add.
- Tool results: when you use a calculator, the inputs and result of that calculation are stored, together with your email address if you choose to provide it. If you select “Continue without email”, the result is stored without any contact details.
Information collected automatically
- Basic, cookie-free statistics (always on): the page visited, the referring page, device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), browser time zone, browser user-agent and an anonymised IP address (the final part of the address is removed before storage). No cookies or persistent identifiers are used for this.
- Google Analytics (only if you accept optional cookies): usage information collected by Google using cookies, with IP anonymisation enabled and advertising features disabled. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals you have asked for.
- To send you the results you requested and, occasionally, relevant updates from the firm. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To understand which pages and tools are useful and improve them.
- To keep the website secure and prevent abuse (for example, spam submissions).
We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis — including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR for visitors from those regions — we rely on: your consent (optional cookies; email updates), steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (enquiries and onboarding), and our legitimate interestsin operating and improving the website (cookie-free statistics and security).
Who we share it with
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the data on our behalf.
- Google, only if you accept optional analytics cookies.
- Professional advisers or authorities where required by law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and onboarding applications that do not become engagements: up to 24 months.
- Tool results with an email address: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and at most 24 months.
- Cookie-free statistics: up to 26 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to a data-protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email business@sonnetsllp.com. You can change your cookie choice at any time on the Cookie Policy page.
